Gambling online is not evil and should not be exorcised as such. Instead of demonizing US gambling online, the government should instead implement means to regulate it and make sure that the industry is safe and fair for everyone involved.
Naturally, because commercial casinos cause businesses to mushroom around them, they create jobs for hundreds of thousands of Americans. Having a job means having the power to earn and spend money, which in turn leads to the growth of other industries totally unrelated to gambling.
